The West African Examination Council has announced the Examination Date for the West African Senior Secondary Certificate Examination to be written this year. This came after the exam was postponed due to the Covid19 pandemic outbreak.

WAEC Announces date for the conduct of 2023 WASSCE exams

The head of the Nigeria national office, West African Examination Council, WAEC, Mr Patrick Areghan has on Tuesday announced the timetable for the conduct of this West African Senior School Certificate Examination, WASSCE for school candidates.

According to the body, the examination will run from Monday, August 16 to Friday October 8 across the sub-regions, with Nigeria concluding her examination on September 30.

In accordance with the Final International Timetable, the WASSCE (SC) 2023 will take place throughout the sub-region from Monday, 16th August to Friday, 8th October, 2023. However, the examination will end in Nigeria on 30th September, 2023 – spanning a period of seven (07) weeks.

When Is WAEC 2023 Starting And Ending

The West Africa Examination Council, WAEC, began selling forms for the MAY/JUNE exam on December 5, 2022.

Students who want to take the 2023 WASSCE must first register with the school where they want to take the exam.

The West African Examination Board has set April 2023 as the deadline for normal registration of WASSCE candidates, with late registration beginning in late April and ending in May 2023.

The WAEC 2023 Exam begins on Monday, May 8, 2023, with the Foods and Nutrition 3 (Practical) Planning Session.
